MusiciaNow (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates a mobile application and associated web services (collectively the “Service”) that connect musicians, DJs, music‑service providers and event organizers with clients worldwide. Protecting your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Service.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to any user of the Service, including Providers (those offering services) and Clients (those seeking services), and covers all platforms on which MusiciaNow is offered (Android & iOS apps, web app, administrator portal, and public site musicianow.com).
2.1. User Types
MusiciaNow serves a diverse user base, grouped as follows:
Members: This includes musicians, DJs, booking managers, and technical support professionals (such as sound and lighting technicians/engineers). Members can create profiles, showcase their services, and connect with other members and potential clients. Access to these features is granted via a monthly or annual subscription, with no commission fees.
Clients: Individuals or organizations (e.g., bar owners, event planners, talent scouts) looking to hire professionals for events or services. Clients can access the platform to browse and connect with Members, either as guests or through a fixed-rate subscription.
Guests: App users who are not logged in or registered. Guests can browse public-facing Member profiles using geolocation features but do not have access to advanced features or messaging.
3. Information We Collect
Account Information: Name, email, phone, password hash, language, profile photo, biography, musical skills, pricing, availability.
Geolocation: Precise and approximate geolocation, travel status, IP address region.
Device & Usage: Device model, OS version, unique identifiers, crash logs, interaction events, cookies.
Payment & Payout: Tokenized card details, transaction amounts, payout bank details, tax IDs (handled by Stripe).
Communications: Messages, email correspondence, support tickets, marketing preferences.
Third‑Party Auth: Google / Apple ID, profile name, email, profile picture (when you use social log‑in).
Analytics: Firebase Analytics, in‑app events, attribution data.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as racial origin, religious beliefs, or biometric data.
4. How We Use Your Information
– Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
– Facilitate bookings, payments, and real‑time availability.
– Personalize search results and in‑app recommendations.
– Communicate with you regarding your account, transactions, and updates.
– Detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
– Conduct research, analytics, and product development.
– Comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, AML/KYC).
5. Legal Bases (GDPR)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your information under the following legal bases:
– Contractual necessity (Art. 6‑1‑b): To deliver the Service you request.
– Legitimate interests (Art. 6‑1‑f): To improve and secure the Service.
– Consent (Art. 6‑1‑a): For optional marketing emails, push notifications, and GPS tracking while the app is in the background.
– Legal obligation (Art. 6‑1‑c): To comply with tax and financial regulations.

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance user experience, analyze usage, and improve the Service. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us remember your preferences and settings.

Our servers are located in Canada and the US. Your information may be processed in other countries with safeguards for EEA/UK data.

We retain data as long as needed for the Service and legal obligations. Unused accounts are anonymized after 5 years.

Depending on your location, you have rights to:
– Access, correct, or delete your personal data
– Object to or restrict processing
– Withdraw consent at any time
– Port data to another service
– Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You can exercise these rights via your Profile to edit/modify your publication and via the main menu, you can delete your profile or by contacting us (see 12).

To exercise your rights, use the app’s Privacy settings or email privacy@musicianow.com.
We process your data lawfully under GDPR Articles 6.1(b), 6.1(f), and 6.1(a).
10. Security
We use TLS, AES‑256, least‑privilege access, and ISO‑27001 hosting. No internet transmission is 100% secure.
11. Children’s Privacy
Not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
