MusiciaNow uses personal information to operate the Service, help people discover and connect with each other, process memberships, improve performance and protect the platform.
We do not sell your personal information. Some information is intentionally visible to other users when you publish a profile or activate features such as availability or location visibility.
Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to the MusiciaNow mobile applications for iOS and Android, the MusiciaNow website, and related features, communications, customer support and services (collectively, the “Service”).
It does not govern third-party websites, applications or services that may be linked from MusiciaNow. Those services have their own privacy practices.
Information We Collect
Name, email address, phone number where provided, role, skills, profile content, availability and other information you choose to add.
Secure login information and identifiers associated with sign-in methods such as Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, when used.
Location information used for local discovery. Depending on the features you enable, this may include an approximate location such as city or region and, when a live-location feature is intentionally activated, more precise location information. Device permissions can be changed in your settings.
Messages, profile content, reviews where available, support requests, feedback and other content you submit through the Service.
Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, logs, crash information, interactions and other diagnostic or usage information.
Subscription and transaction information. Payments are processed through third-party providers such as Apple and Google. MusiciaNow does not store full payment-card numbers on its servers.
Cookies, Analytics & Diagnostics
Our website and applications may use cookies, local storage, analytics, crash-reporting and similar technologies for essential functionality, preferences, security, performance measurement and diagnostics. Where required, non-essential technologies are subject to applicable consent choices.
Analytics and diagnostics may be provided by services such as Firebase or similar service providers.
How We Use Information
Create and manage accounts, profiles, searches, availability features and platform functionality.
Help users discover relevant profiles and, where their access allows it, communicate with each other.
Provide support, improve performance, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, enforce our terms and meet legal obligations.
MusiciaNow does not sell your personal information.
Profiles, Availability, Location & Public Visibility
MusiciaNow is a discovery network. Information you intentionally publish in an Artist profile may be visible to people using the Service. Availability and location-related visibility depend on the settings and features you activate.
You should avoid placing sensitive personal information in public-facing profile fields unless it is genuinely necessary and you are comfortable making it visible.
Chat, Messages & Moderation
Messages exchanged through MusiciaNow may be stored so the communication features can function. MusiciaNow does not actively review every conversation. We may review content when it is reported, when needed to investigate fraud, abuse or violations of our Terms, or when required by law.
When We Share Information
We may disclose personal information to service providers that support MusiciaNow, including payment processors, hosting and infrastructure providers, authentication providers, analytics and crash-reporting services, and other vendors needed to operate the Service.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect users or the public, investigate misuse, enforce our agreements, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization or sale of all or part of the business.
Your Choices & Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the ability to request access, correction or deletion, withdraw certain consent, object to or restrict certain processing, or request a copy of information associated with you.
Edit or update information available through your account and profile settings.
Change or disable location permissions through the app or your device settings, subject to the functionality you choose to use.
Opt out of non-essential promotional communications using the method provided in the message or by contacting us.
Privacy requests may be sent to contact@musicianow.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your MusiciaNow account through the app where that option is available, or by contacting us at contact@musicianow.com.
Certain information may be retained when required or permitted by law, for legitimate recordkeeping, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution or enforcement purposes.
Retention & Security
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, to provide the Service, meet legal or accounting requirements, resolve disputes, prevent abuse and enforce agreements. When information is no longer required, it is deleted, de-identified or anonymized as appropriate and permitted by law.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
International Processing & Transfers
MusiciaNow and its service providers may process or store information in jurisdictions outside your province, state or country. As a result, information may be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of those jurisdictions. Where required, we take steps intended to provide appropriate protection for personal information transferred across borders.
Regional Privacy Rights
Privacy rights vary by jurisdiction. Depending on where you live and how the relevant law applies to MusiciaNow, rights may arise under privacy laws such as Quebec’s private-sector privacy legislation, Canadian privacy legislation including PIPEDA where applicable, the European Union’s GDPR, or U.S. state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended.
